We help you plan your trip to Mallorca and discover the most beautiful places on the island. An unforgettable adventure with Elba Hotels.
Traveling to Palma de Mallorca can be a real adventure, especially if you have time to move around the island. The coves in Mallorca are one of its many attractions but, if you are wondering what else to do in Mallorca, we recommend five essential plans:
Guide to eating in Mallorca, where to go and what to try. You'll be surprised!
Many already know Mallorca for its colorful architecture, its pleasant climate or its small wild coves, but discovering its cuisine, based on the purest Mediterranean diet, with intense and fresh flavors, is a pleasure that you can not miss.
Do not miss the opportunity to try these typical products of Mallorca
During your stay in the "biggest sister" of the Balearic Islands, we recommend you go to a "celler", places where wine was made and matured and now have become restaurants specialized in typical dishes of Mallorca. There you will find much more than Mallorcan “sobrasada” and “ensaimadas”!
If you are looking for a traditional meal, Celler Sa Premsa is the perfect option. This restaurant located in the town of Palma serves some of the oldest recipes on the island. Dishes such as "Frit Mallorquín", fried lamb liver with sautéed potatoes, peppers and herbs or the well-known “sobrasada”, either natural or fried, will make your palate surrender to the flavors of Mallorcan cuisine.
In June we started the #ELBAFAMILY series, thanks to which we will discover in each new episode one of the employees that made up our staff. We will know details about their work and life, and we will understand how they make everything possible.
On this occasion we present Marcela, the Executive Maître of Elba Madrid Alcalá, who declares herself "hopelessly in love" with her work. "I like the contact with the client, and that is the main reason to dedicate myself to hotel industry and events organization", she says.
The task of an Executive Maître implies important responsibilities, especially in a hotel such as Elba Madrid Alcalá, with an intense activity of events and weddings. "The main objective of my position is the satisfaction of the client, both those who come to enjoy Madrid for tourism and those who come for business. And there are also those who choose us to celebrate their wedding ... What a great honor to participate in such an important day for two people who decide to start a family! ", says our dear Executive Maître.

Reflection day about the excess of plastic consumption, pollution and environment.
The International Plastic Bag Free Day is celebrated on July 3, a day that Elba Hotels supports in order to promote social awareness and environment care. The prohibition of single use plastics agreed by the European Union for 2021 is claimed as one of the solutions needed to reduce pollution.
According to data from the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Food and Environment, it is estimated that each Spaniard consumes an average of 238 plastic bags per year and only 10% of these are recycled. The over consumption of this material has a clear impact on our seas and oceans.
Therefore, if we want to contribute to the preservation of our seas and the life they contain, we must do everything possible in our daily routines to reduce the use of plastics whose waste ends up in the ocean. We tell you how.
