XII ANJOCA Golf Cup Tournament, a success!
Yet another year the 12th edition of the ANJOCA Golf Cup Tournament, from the Hoteles Elba hotel chain, has been a success. Find out about the winners and the experiences had.
Last Saturday, the Fuerteventura Golf Club golf course hosted the twelfth edition of the ANJOCA Golf Cup Tournament, organised by the Hoteles Elba hotel chain. The competition has brought together many Spanish and international amateurs in an event which continues to grow on the island of Fuerteventura, this year with 80 participants.
The competition was played in the individual Stableford handicap modality, this year being the first of which had a restricted golf handicap, set at 26.4 for men and 30 for ladies. The competition was held at the Fuerteventura Golf Club, an excellent par 72 18-hole golf course.
“Hoteles Elba has been committing itself for many years to convert the golf offer into one of its distinguishing attributes, contributing to promote Fuerteventura as the wonderful golf destination that it is”, commented Sandra López García, Fuerteventura Golf Club director.

The ANJOCA Golf Cup Programme
The 12th ANCOJA Golf Cup takes place on Saturday, 4 May and for the third consecutive year will be held in the afternoon, with tee off at 13:00. The event will be held at the Fuerteventura Golf Club (par 72 with 18 holes) at the Elba Palace Golf, our hotel with a golf course on Fuerteventura.

The 11th ANJOCA Golf Cup was a hit!
The Anjoca Golf Cup was a complete success, not only due to the turnout, but to the spectacle throughout the event.
On Saturday Fuerteventura Golf Club course hosted the eleventh ANJOCA Golf Cup, organised by the Elba Hotel chain. The competition attracted a large crowd, who closely followed the tournament’s 108 participants, which included both professionals and amateurs.
The president of the Canary Island’s Golf Federation, Diego A. Cambreleng Roca, didn’t miss this year’s ANJOCA Golf Cup edition, which, after 11 years, has become one of the island’s most anticipated sporting events. Ángel Jove Capellán, president of Anjoca –the parent company of Elba Hotels, and Fernando de las Heras, general manager of Elba Hotels, were also present on the side lines.
“It was a great sporting event and competition. Both the participating golfers and the audience were able to enjoy a day of good golf and the magnificent surroundings offered by the Fuerteventura Golf Club", said De las Heras.

VIII Anjoca Golf Cup Tournament
We have everything prepared for the eighth edition of the Anjoca Golf Cup Tournament!
On the 2nd of May, the Elba Palace Golf & Vital Hotel and the island of Fuerteventura dress up to celebrate for another year the tournament will bring together the best amateurs. The excitement of the event adds to the opportunity to enjoy the heavenly landscape and the beautiful beaches of the island.
The VIII Anjoca Gold Cup has a format of individual Stableford and will challange male and female participating in three categories.
As on other occasions: 1st: Handicap. 0-14, 2nd: Handicap 14.1 to 22 and 3rd: Handicap + handicap of 22. The handicaps will be limited to 26.4 for men and 30 for women.
There will be a shotgun start at 9:00 pm and from 14:30 to 16:00 hours you can enjoy the cocktail and awards ceremony. The top three player in each of the three categories will receive a trophy and some sports equipment. For the ruffle there will also be vouchers redeemable at the Pro Shop. Special awards will be given to male and female longest drive and closest to the pin.
