Explore the beauty of Spanish villages while having dinner on these summer terraces, and take a break from the heat!
Night falls, and the cool summer breeze starts to blow. It’s the perfect time to put on a thin jacket and step outside to enjoy the summer terraces that we famously love in Spain.
You’ll find plenty of information about the very well-known terraces that receive praise from bloggers. However, if you want to avoid the more touristey areas, Elba Hotels recommends the following more secluded, picturesque options.
La Casita (Montejaque, Málaga)
Montejaque is located in the Sierra de Grazalema Natural Park. This idyllic village is filled with narrow streets and high stone walls. There, you can find ‘La Casita’; its terrace serves as a fantastic viewpoint while you enjoy a delicious pumpkin risotto paired with some local wine.
Dis Tinto (La Herradura, Granada)
La Herradura –with under 5,000 inhabitants– is the last coastal urban area in the province of Granada. It is a quiet village with one single beach, where you can find the restaurant ‘Dis Tinto’. Its terrace practically meets the sandy beach, and their octopus ratatouille is scrumptious!
Las Bohemias del Amor (Puertito de los Molinos, Fuerteventura)
This is doubtlessly the most picturesque place in the whole island. This village is made up of only 10 houses, so eating there is quite a unique experience. You will find a lovely terrace on the beach, where the waiter is also the cook. The ceiling is covered with small sunshades, the tables are made of plastic, and every chair is completely different. Locals say their paella is otherworldly!
