Halloween is almost here – do you have any plans yet? Here are some activities to celebrate this spooky holiday with children.
Halloween is an Irish holiday that started around the year 100 AD, when countrymen believed that spirits passed through to our world. As time has gone by, fear has turned into fun, making Halloween one of children’s favourite holidays.
Halloween traditions
Jack-o’-lanterns are a must! Halloween is so popular nowadays that you can find pumpkins in any supermarket at this time of year. Grab a carving knife, and get creative!
It is then time to put on your costume and go trick or treating. This tradition is becoming increasingly popular in big cities in Spain.
In Latin America and Spain, All Saints’ Day is celebrated on 1st November to remember and honour the dead. While it is more of a celebration in South American countries, this holiday is more solemn in Spain.
Halloween activities for children
Halloween is the perfect day to do some fun activities with children. For instance, you could make some Halloween treats together, organise a costume competition with their friends, or make some DIY masks and ornaments. If you want to go the extra mile, you could even turn your house into a spooky haunted house!
Halloween parties for children
Our Halloween party will be unforgettable! Elba Estepona will turn into a haunted hotel, with a theme buffet dinner. We have a special package available that includes access to the party and the Elba Thalasso Spa, your stay at the hotel and a glass of champagne on arrival.
