Route through Estepona Murals

04 / 09 / 2014 - Elba news

Estepona Artistic Murals Route (Malaga) is adding a new work to its collection by the French artist Eric Aman. “Angel, the diver”, has been painted on a building of Tres Banderas neighbourhood. Twenty works are already part of this great project where the facades of buildings become large canvases.

National and international artists including Anna Cecilia Salinas, Francisco Alarcon, Nestor Plada, Juan Jose Sanpedro, Conchi Alvarez, Elena Aguilera, Javier Infantes and the Moraga Collective have contributed with their works including ‘Sea and Mountain’, ‘Three Flags’, ‘The Televisions’, ‘Saint Isidore the Farmer’, ‘Spring’, ‘El Cid’, ‘Armed Forces’, ‘Blas Infante-Picasso’ and ‘The Remedies’.

In this particular case, Erin Aman is a painter and sculptor with a great international exposure that has monumental works in several cities including Siena, Livorno, Montevideo and Madrid. His work is also featured in San Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican City.

The Route of the Artistic Murals will keep growing and covering Estepona with colour. It will also see the installation of metallic sculptures made by the inmates of the Alhaurin de la Torre Prison (Malaga) on some buildings of Blas Infante neighbourhood.

It is undoubtedly an amazing initiative that brightens up the city and integrates and brings culture to all the citizens through the expression of art. Do you fancy coming to see them?
