Mallorca’s best coves and beaches

  • Caló des Moro: a small, beautiful beach only 30 metres long. It is complicated to access it, but its crystal-clear waters and natural virgin surroundings make it one of the most recommended hidden coves on the island. It’s on the south of the island, specifically in Santanyí.
  • Cala d’Or: if you are travelling with your family and are looking for wide, quiet beaches, Cala d’Or, located south of Porto Colom on the east coast, is a good option. Discover a cove paradise with white sand and turquoise waters.
  • Cala de Sa Calobra: this is the mouth of the Torrent de Pareis, a 3 km-long canyon eroded by the water flow. Cala De Sa Calobra is characterised by its depth, the colour of its waters and its numerous stones and boulders.
  • Playa de Es Trenc: this two-kilometre sand beach along the coast has become quite popular in recent years. Declared a Protected Natural Area, it is located in one of the island’s most beautiful and protected areas, and is one of the favourite beaches for nudists.
  • Cala Formentor: Cala de Formentor is surrounded by cliffs full of trails where you can explore and discover one of the most prominent areas for bird watching. The nearly-virgin surroundings and its white sandy beach and crystal-clear waters make this visit to the Northern Cape highly recommended.
