Lanzarote is the most easterly of the Canary Islands and has a surface of 845 square metres. The unique beauty and diversity of its landscapes make it stand out and attract numerous tourists: volcanic caves, lava lakes and craters combined with beautiful golden sand beaches and crystal clear waters. This natural heritage was named a Biosphere Reserve by the UNESCO in 1993, thanks, in part, to the environmental awareness of its inhabitants.
The average yearly temperature of this beautiful island is 22ºC, which is ideal for outdoor activities, water sports and boat trips.
The landscapes of Yaiza, the municipality where our hotel Elba Lanzarote Royal Village Resort is located, are unspoilt and full of contrast due to its characteristic red, black and yellow sands. These traits, along with the traditional architecture, beautiful streets and flower-decorated houses have brought several awards to Yaiza. The main tourist attractions include Los Hervideros and the Green lake of El Golfo; the Papagayo beaches, with secluded, unspoilt coves; Playa Dorada, and the national park of Timanfaya.
Playa Blanca, which is well-known for its golden sand beaches, has become the economic engine for the municipality, and one of the main tourist attractions in the island thanks to its wide range of leisure activities: bars, restaurants, clubs and pubs, among others. The marina of Playa Blanca, where a ferry service to Fuerteventura is available, is one of the best in Lanzarote.
