Vecindario is an area close to the airport, which forms part of the Santa Lucía de Tiranja district (Gran Canaria) – where you’re find lots of choices for shopping. You also might like to visit the Fortaleza de Ansite, which is a building constructed from volcanic rock and has some significant archaeological interest. Or hit the Pozo Izquierdo Beach, which is frequented by surfers.

The beaches in the south of Gran Canaria are also easily reached, such as Maspalomas beach, as is the old part of Las Palmas which is worth a visit.
