If history and culture are more in your line, then we recommend a trip to the town of Betancuria, formerly the island's capital, where you can see the spectacular views at sunset from the viewpoint at Morro Velosa.

Plant and wild-life lovers have an opportunity, going south, to visit the botanical garden at La Lajita with its extensive collection of plant varieties.

As you leave the village of Pájara, in Ajui, you can see the remains of the 'American Star', which was wrecked on this coast.

And if you just want to enjoy the beautiful sunny weather on the beach, then we recommend the huge endless beaches on the south side of the island (Morro Jable) or the long fine sandy beaches at Corralejo on the north side, and from where you can visit La Isla de Lobos.
